“Life is like the foam of the sea. You must dive into it."
Beautiful film that delivers even more on a rewatch. It’s got to be the best coming-of-age/road film that I’ve seen before because of how much you connect with both Julio and Tenoch and their relationship with Luisa. The cinematography hit me even more after seeing it again, I don’t think I’ve taken as many screenshots before. Alfonso’s direction is perfect really, he makes the film feel so personal to the viewer and it’s like you’re a part of this journey. Can’t fault this film at all, it’s a masterpiece.
