• Minority Report

    Minority Report

Minority Report is one of those rare films were the more I think about it the more I love it, and I loved it on my first watch.

  • The Godfather: Part II

    The Godfather: Part II

Definitely prefer the first one, but it was still a fantastic film though.

  • Mad Max: Fury Road

    Mad Max: Fury Road

    An action masterpiece.

  • GoodFellas

So, I finally watched Goodfellas and it was meh. There were some cool scenes and some funny moments and good music, but I was just bored to tears about an hour in. The characters were just annoying and insufferable to watch and I couldn't care less what was happening to them. To be frank with you, I was just waiting for it to end. I think it's the style that Scorsese wanted to tell this story with that just didn't do it for me. I can see why people would like it, but this is not something I care to re-watch.

  • The Godfather

    The Godfather

I don't really know what to say that hasn't already been said. So, ill just say that it was excellent and it definitely deserves the praise it gets.

  • The Dark Knight

    The Dark Knight

    Here's a hot take.

So, The Dark Knight, one of the most revered films of the 21st century. Hailed as the best superhero movie ever made. Is it? I don't know and I don’t really care either way. This is a weird movie for me because I never got the hype for it. What makes this movie stand out above other movies? Is it the villain? Is it the tone? Is it the themes? What is it?

    For the movie…

  • Blade Runner

    Blade Runner

While I love the world of Blade Runner. The story itself didn't leave an impact on me. Also, the last 20 minutes was off to me, and while it's a beautiful movie it was ultimately a kind of hollow experience by the end. I heard it gets better with rewatches but the urge to rewatch it is not just there. Hopefully i enjoy the sequel more.

  • The Shawshank Redemption

    The Shawshank Redemption

Look, it was good, great even but best film of all time? No. I like the acting, and the characters but the movie as a whole nothing spectacular. Im glad people love it but some people also hype this movie up way too much.

  • Mission: Impossible - Fallout

    Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Still my favorite and the best action movie I've ever seen (and yes I've seen Mad Max: Fury Road and the Raid 1 and 2).

  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

This is definitely my favorite of the three. I liked The Battle of the Pelennor Fields and The Siege of Minas Tirith more than Helms Deep (Helm's Deep is still amazing tho). I watched the 4h 23m extended version of the movie and it was just epic and a joy to watch.

  • Oldboy

I already knew some plot points going in, and it was still fantastic. Pretty much everything about it was fantastic. Please watch it and avoid spoilers if you haven't already. Watch it with subtitles also.

  • Gone Girl

    Gone Girl

I'm always amazes me how David Fincher can make any scene in his film engaging to watch. This movie was 2 and a half hours long and not a single scene was boring. Incredible!
