Wowie, did Hugh Jackman BRING IT in this movie.
I'm so happy this turned out the way it did. Excellent filmmaking on every front stop it from falling into common tropes (that true-stories often fall into) is a key to help make this the electric and remarkable film that it is. Wonderful direction and incredible performances from all around, and possibly a career-best from Jackman.
This movie fits perfectly into the "Attractive actor doing a fantastic performance in a movie that seems to have a lot of finance and logistics talk but is never actually boring and, quite frankly, pretty damn good" genre alongside the likes of Moneyball and The Big Short
Man, I can't recommend this movie enough, I also think it's best when you go in blind.
