Alfred Hitchcock's films never cease to make me contemplate everything i thought i knew. this one is no different. i think it's three hours long and gets a little dull in the middle but it's necessary and the ending !!! wow.

  • The Cat from Outer Space

    The Cat from Outer Space

a must see. it's outdated and a little weird but that's the appeal. i like the idea that otherworldly beings aren't green monsters but little furry kitty cats. and that they can talk with a special collar. my cat is named after the kitty in this movie because i love it that much. Jake in the movie is a certified cool cat.

  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

i won't listen to a single person who tries to tell me this trilogy is not good because they're biased of The Lord of the Rings. i much prefer The Hobbit. they're significantly more entertaining and you can't go wrong with Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch. also the soundtrack is wonderful.

love, love, love this movie. i absolutely adore Keira Knightley, especially as Elizabeth Bennet. Mr. Darcy also is one of my favorite characters in a film. don't ask me why, maybe i relate to him on a level i didn't know existed. all i do know is that one of my favorite quotes ever came from the book by Jane Austen.
“There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I…

such a beautiful tale about the great Stephen Hawking. truly one of the greatest men to ever live, not to mention one of the most brilliant. he had a rough life and that's depicted in the film. since he has now passed, this movie makes me cry even harder than before he had died. also, Eddie Redmayne.

a heartbreaking and lovely movie about friendship. Stephen King is a master of writing, this we knew, but who knew he could write such a powerful story about friendship with (minimal) horror. River Phoenix deserved better out of life, but his performance in this movie is one for the books. philosophical and full of questions no young kids should be seeking the answers to. maybe that's why it's so good, because i'm asking those questions now too.

this movie made me realize my love for Queen. obviously, the soundtrack slaps and the detail put into the Live Aid scene is so wonderful. watching a side-by-side of the real performance and the movie's version is mesmerizing. also, the actors look so much like the real band members like ??? why does Joe Mazzello look more like Deacon than Deacon does? mind-blowing to me.

  • Dunkirk

    Dunkirk

harry styles. need i say more? no, but i will because i like to type. WW2 is fascinating and i really like Chrstopher Nolan as a director. his calling is definitely in war movies i will say. saw Dunkirk in theaters 3 times and i watch it at least 4 times a year. suspenseful.

  • Twilight

    Twilight

unironically i love this movie. it's fun to clown on when you've fallen in love with the characters. not the best out of the franchise but integral. my favorite quote: "It's the fluorescents.”

  • The Cat Returns

    The Cat Returns

    ★★★★★

a funny movie but i don't think it's supposed to be. i just think Barron is so funny in his little suit. what a cool cat! the tiny house in the tiny village that he lives in makes me wish i were a small cat living in a small village. how pretty. this movie admittedly made me cry for no good reason. i hate endings of adventures so much.

  • Spirited Away

    Spirited Away

    ★★★★★

a nostalgic movie full of very strange occurrences, but that only adds to the charm of it overall. i used to think it was a long movie when I was younger but now that i’m older i don’t think it’s long enough. i will always hope Studio Ghibli movies will simply continue into oblivion and never end. i love them so much.  no face is an iconic character. a spirit of few words but he somehow portrays a thousand different things anyways. well-thought-out and beautiful in symbolism.

one of my favorite films ever made; simple and sweet. Jiji the cat is one of my favorite characters in any movie because he is no-nonsense which i think is silly because he's a cat. i adore him.
