    Holy shit.

    I know the comparisons to Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy have been made by everyone already, but I just wanna say that I love Robert De Niro’s presence in this film specifically because of him starring in those two. (Plus, if you’re gonna steal from anyone, steal from Scorsese.) Felt some Network vibes as well, but I’d have to revisit that one to see just how much.

    DC films have been notoriously dark, but this time…

    This is pretty bad, but nowhere near as bad as I’d been expecting over the years. A lot of it feels half-baked, but that’s better than frozen.

    The main bad guy thing that feeds on fear (forgot the name, doesn’t matter), is just like a floating, soul-sucking smoke cloud. Not too threatening or motivated. Not much of a character.

    The chemistry between the two leads was believable…
