Like most film fans I knew about Valerie and Ron Taylor’s involvement with ‘Jaws’ and a handful of stories of their time shooting for that film but I knew nothing more about their lives and what was documented here proved to be awe-inspiring and heart warming in equal measure.

The abundance of footage of Taylor’s many dives and encounters with marine life provides many a jaw dropping moment and she’s such a charming subject for a biography like this. Loved it!

Perfectly enjoyable and well made but without much in the way of surprise. So much lore and so many characters packed into this it feels like a truncated series of stories.

Animation is (unsurprisingly) terrific and the voice cast are superb. I loved Awkwafina in particular. Beautiful looking world.

All very serviceable, usual band of cute/funny supporting characters, hits the required story beats on cue etc but feels quite mechanical in the process. Still, lots of fun!

MOONRAKER! MOONRAKER!! THEY PUT MOONRAKER IN THIS!! MOONRAKER!!

Quite enjoyed this one! Great action sequences and I really like the family unit that the leads formed. It was fun. I’m a bigger fan of Marvel when they set it on Earth and they’re not making snarky jokes every 2 minutes so this passed that test!

Thoroughly engaging, hypnotic, enthralling, haunting… One of those films that has penetrated my every day thinking. I think about Vertigo a lot.

It took me a good few attempts to really ‘get’ Vertigo. I must have seen it 2 or 3 times as a teen before finally, in my mid twenties i rewatched it and felt completely absorbed and that has carried through to my most recent viewing.

A lot of Hitchcock’s top tier films are perfectly crafted pieces of…
