deservedly a classic. probably the best quote on quote horror film i've seen, even if they're isn't any conventional scares per say, more so an atmosphere that promotes this intense dread and tension. the apprehension and fear is there even in the scenes before the bates motel, largely thanks to hitchcock's sensational direction, as always, invasive camera work, and the uniquely jilted pacing. as far as i'm concerned, this is one of the greats.
