"It's good... aww... it's really fookin' good!"
There is something oddly easy about watching Trainspotting. It might not be a film I'd rank amongst my favourites, despite the rating, but revisiting it is a relatively relaxing experience because of the quick-fire dialogue, the strong visual filmmaking and the excellent and weirdly loveable cast. It is a testament to Boyle's talent that he make a film this dark be such an enjoyable experience, as he centres the characters in a way that makes them and their plight empathetic, whilst not distracting from the reasons that the film exists. Bring on Trainspotting 2!
