Feels like the world's most sophisticated collection of outtakes and B-roll, which is pleasant enough in its own way (each shot is interesting by itself) but the thing really starts to fall apart at the end, when Herzog indulges in some of the lazy "absurdism" that until this point he'd been astute enough to avoid. A guy holding a turtle! A husband and wife performing an incomprehensible song! Doesn't seem like an actual movie; feels in fact like a movie cobbled out of pieces from another, more interesting project.
