Haven't seen a really-silly-but-not-a-comedy horror like that in a while. Entertaining but won't go back.
A silly B-movie but I really enjoyed it. Some of it was quite beautiful. Night Tide feels like an unusually tame title for the kind of vibe it has in that era. Maybe it would be more remembered if it had been called Mystery of The Sea Witch or something. Feels like a film Robert Eggers should remake, perhaps with Paul Mescal in Dennis Hopper’s role.
