a little obsessed with horror & star wars
“evil dies tonight.”
a jam packed slasher with non-stop awesomeness is pretty much my thoughts on halloween kills. i don’t believe it had the same amount of depth as H2018 but that’s not all bad. this time around we got to see the anger & rage of michael myers & the fear he instills on an entire community. the 1978 flashback scenes are done masterfully, the tone & atmosphere was matched so well to the original. i was worried that returning characters wouldn’t…
“nothing will pull us apart”
this… this was so awesome, i loved every minute & it definitely topped 1994 for me, it was just so much fun & had a lot of scary/exciting moments. a major part to why i loved 1978 so much is obviously because it’s very friday the 13th, right down to the summer camp aesthetic & bag headed killer reminiscent of jason voorhees in part II. i really enjoyed the characters too, especially ziggy, who makes a fantastic final girl i think. oh yeah & the late 70s aesthetic is amazing.
day 9 of VFG31 - 2021 - “queer horror”
i love how scary this one is, freddy’s design & demeanor is the best in the franchise in my opinion, his EYES, his VOICE, it’s just so creepy. the gay stuff is really fun to point out while watching it too.
