    Tiger

    ★★½

There's a scene during the first half of Tiger where his first girlfriend talks about Tiger Woods scuba diving, how he loved the quiet and how the "fishies don't know who [he] is." ★★★½

"They should really just go to bed"

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

    ★★

It crushes me to say as a lifelong Star Wars fan, but The Rise of Skywalker is one of the worst-paced and soullessly transactional blockbusters I've ever seen.

TROS feels more like a cynical obligation than a labor of love befitting of the culmination of the greatest entertainment franchise in movie history. Scenes are unloaded on the audience like a machine gun's clip, like a parent speed-reading through the last chapter of their bedtime story so their kid will finally…
