Metropolitan ★★★

I wish the cast was even half as good as Whit Stillman’s biting screenplay. Chris Eigeman’s performance is head and shoulders (and knees and toes) better than everyone else’s. He’s the perfect vessel for Stillman’s unsparing wit, but he disappears with 20-ish minutes to go. Would love to see this movie produced in an alternate universe where Stillman had some more directing experience and a bigger budget.
