Pan's Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth ★★★★

Guillermo Del Toro respects the craft.

You can tell he has a deep love for telling stories. He understands aesthetic to a godlike degree and because of this, all his film's have this unique creature design and supernatural flavor that is wholly Del Toro.

Pan's Labyrinth comes off as a Spanish influenced Alice in Wonderland with a few hints of Coraline. We once again follow a young heroine as she must navigate the confusing world of the adults around her and her own growing body. Led by the mystical faun Pan, she embarks on a occult quest to find spiritual wisdom with a few faires to guide her way.

It possess a sense of wonder, suspense and mystery that only Del Toro is capable of. There was never a dull moment or lack of momentum.

Definitely a must see.
