this film is fucking fantastic holy shit.
the atmospherics alone make it such a treat to watch - rainy nights in new York city lit by neon lights and scored by soft jazz... it's sublime. And take that contrasted with the actual content of the film and it just gets better. there's so many ways to look at this film and i can't stop thinking about it. The nihilism, the radicalization, the corruption, the violence, the loneliness.. it's all there.
I reallyyyyyy love this film and i TOTALLY get the hype around it. I think it's smart, beautifully made, and extremely relatable, yet isolating, as strange as it may seem. Deserves all the praise it gets !! Def one of my favorites
