still haven't seen a complete Sharon Lockhart film.
answers the playground question of who would win in a fight between michael myers and artie, the strongest man in the world.
ngl the sequel's soured this one even further for me. though, that crashed bus sequence is still pretty great even when the (awful!) music interrupts with so much bombast that it's a miracle that the characters themselves don't pause mid-fight to notice.
the film really only concerns the san diego major label speculation that happened after grunge took off, but would Love a film specifically about the incredible hardcore/emo/screamo/spaz bands that are only touched on at the end here.
besides the immediacy of the murders having her attend to her roommates and entertain a psychopath long enough on the phone for the authorities to pinpoint a trace, oliva hussey's character also has to ward off this terrifying future that her boyfriend threatens her with through a proposal and pregnancy. it's so bleak and closed off at every end, and it's incredible that the character would have it in her to enjoy carolers or break into a peal of laughter with a roommate over a visit from the zealous, self-deputized neighbors. idk it's rad.
