The last few minutes saved it all for me. I genuinely feel like Eduardo Saverin and Link would've hated each other.

Avoid trying to fast forward the meaningful moments because otherwise, you'll end up missing out on life. I mean, ok, I get the moral lesson, but the film as a whole was absolute trash or "rubbish" if you pre'fah

This type of filmmaking, unsettling and dreary, is what I needed and expected from Maggie Gyllenhaal. The actors, shots, and music were all so beautifully crafted to serve a story that made me feel everything from contentment to anguish.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

How I would describe this film :

    1. Jennifer Lawrence and Timothée Chalamet hooking up
    2. Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi collabing
    3. Leonardo DiCaprio sleeping with someone his age - i.e.: Cate Blanchett
    4. Meryl Streep being former US president as well as Jonah Hill's mother
    5. Gargantuan meteorite wiping everybody out

PTA does it again! The Master is a marvellous study of human character through religious flourishing. The film was beautiful, unpleasant, touching, and frightening all at once thanks to the gilt-hedged actors. Special mention to Joaquin Phoenix, as well as Phillip Seymour Hoffman who fit their respective roles like a glove!
