A film and a franchise that means so much to me could only be helmed by the son of the original director. It's been a while since I've seen a film on IMAX and I couldn't have picked a better one. Afterlife hits every mark for me.

McKenna Grace truly shines in this role as Phoebe, every time she's on-screen she is adorable and reminds me so much of Ramis' Egon character but with her own touch of nerdiness. Paul…

Most of Pixar’s latest releases, while enjoyable, for the most part, haven’t resonated with me. There’s not a lot of memorabilities, I tend to gravitate towards the characters I grew up with like Woody & Buzz from Toy Story or The Incredibles, even Boo and all her cuteness from Monsters Inc. that’s the Pixar I enjoy. Again, I’m not saying films such as Inside Out, CoCo or Onward aren’t good, I just don’t often return to them (I have my reasons…

If you've seen my "Masterpiece" list, you know that this film falls in that category. I remember seeing this in theaters with my parents when I was younger. It was the first Tarantino film I had ever seen and it blew me away just like those gunshots blew those white people away in the third act. A lot of people consider "Pulp Fiction" his greatest work and I won't argue that--again--check the list. However, for myself, this is his greatest…

I love what this film is about and what it teaches, seeing the importance of how our choices define our futures. If we don't make better ones, we will drown. When a father-son relationship is included, you've got a fantastic film. The two leads are great and I love the intimacy of the camera work, it reminds me of "Moonlight" in that regard. The runtime could've been cut down a bit but overall this is worth the watch.

Even in film school, Ryan Coogler had a powerful voice. This short film was incredible and very touching towards the end. Also, no surprise to see the music was done by Ludwig Goransson. If you're a fan of Ryan Coogler I would highly recommend checking this out. Nice to see his early beginnings as a writer and director.

Return of the Jedi is a fitting way to put an end to a saga (or so we thought). Now a fully trained Jedi Knight, Luke must face his father, Vader once again and help not only put an end to the Empire but bring balance to the force.

The final battle on Endor, in the third act is intense. Everyone on both sides risking it all to claim total victory. The Emperor finally making his appearance in a new…
