Guess that's just how it goes down in the royal court. Transactional sentiment is the law of the land. Watching the power struggle between Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz — for the affection of Queen Anne who had everyone bloody cunt-struck — was very fun, the story was constantly unfolding, one of the films many charms. No surrogate character, we're simply peeking into this drama unfolding like wild fire.
Nicholas Hoult might forever get cast as the creepy weirdo dude because he's so good at his job! Yorgos needs to write for himself again, cause I liked it but man this movie, to me, felt bare. Like an extra layer of significance is dreadfully missing. Dare I say, slightly two dimensional? Slapstick territory?
