My favourite movie of the year so far, DC is back with a bang. Loved how it opened with a Johnny Cash song and it only got better from there. This is exactly how you should do a Suicide Squad movie - introduce enough weird niche characters that you have no problem killing them off. The film is a wild brutal ride and is proper R rated as well. It can get serious when it wants to but it never takes itself too seriously. Margot Robbie as Harley is amazing as always. The dynamic and banter between Bloodsport and Peacemaker was great, and the same goes for Bloodsport's relationship with Ratcatcher 2. Daniela Melchior as Napcatcher, sorry... Ratcatcher 2 is impossible not to like and this is going to be her big break. Nanaue is a scene stealer - Sly Stallone was the perfect voice for him. What a fun bunch of characters in general, everyone did an amazing job and all of them had their moments to shine. Not a single character was wasted, the humour, the chemistry, it's all there. Just keep letting James Gunn do whatever the hell he wants, that guy gets it. Nom nom.
