    At the end of the day, this just didn’t have the same Scorseseness to it that his other projects have had; this felt more like Mr. Scorsese doing a tribute to either this movie, this genre, or just old Hollywood in general, but you didn’t get the overall feel of the great director’s passion in this film.

    Yorgos Lanthimos, is quickly becoming one of the best current directors out there. This film was magnificent. He got the tone for the movie absolutely perfect, his camera work throughout is incredible, and he really made it very funny, which given the subject/setting is no easy task.
