The fact that this film is trying to pass as a “genre-fluid dark comedy” is going to insulate it from a lot of really really really really valid criticism.
Almost walked after the opening scene.

Can’t stop thinking about this mood (the morning after viewing). My office pa experience wasn’t this traumatic, but wow, I could really sympathize with that specific brand of anxiety.
Phenomenal choices in the sound mix.

If you look past the production design and cinematography, this movie is irresponsibly bad.

The half-star off is only because the pacing and structure took me about 30 min to acclimate into. However, that’s a me thing.
There’s a single splice around that point between the past and present that was a mirror to my whole life. Pretty much cried the rest of the film.
