The Hand of God 2021
It’s within the first thirty minutes of this film - where the family sit outside amongst the tranquil Italian backdrop, laughing and joking, blessed with each other’s company - that I am hit with an intense nostalgia that makes me yearn for those days of blissful ignorance.
We all take things for granted.

Thor: Ragnarok 2017
I’m calling it.
Korg is the best character that has come out of a marvel movie and no one can convince me otherwise. -
Love, Death & Robots: Snow in the Desert 2021
Damn. I was really disappointed with this entry. Being an adaptation of the short story which shares the same name, I was very excited to see this episode. But alas it failed to live up to the expectation.

Love, Death & Robots: Pop Squad 2021
This story had me hooked, absolutely loved it and the world they created. The barren and deserted landscapes compared with the rich and virtuous stage of the Opera, and then there’s the small little hut which stands as the most beautiful of them all.
In a world where kids are illegal to prevent overpopulation and the community lives forever, it’s a struggle of moral ambiguity. A life for a life. And finding peace amongst the chaos.

Love, Death & Robots: Automated Customer Service 2021
This is one of those filler episodes that sort of sits in the middle, still having an important message but is mostly just a play on a theme. On the plus side, it felt very black mirror and really brought out the ‘robot’ side of this show. It’s a viable future and although the ending is dark and foreboding, there is power within their choice to essentially run with it.

Love, Death & Robots: Ice 2021
One of my favourite animation styles from the first volume, this one was vibrant and intriguing, taking place on a foreign ice planet. It’s about brotherhood, friendship and acceptance within unfamiliar territory. I absolutely love the foreignness about it included within the language and the look of these characters.
A super simple story, I think this is one we can all relate too.
