    Eyes Without a Face

Eyes Without a Face, has been on my watchlist for ages. I knew it was a classic. But somehow i never got around seeing is. But here we are, finally saw it. and i was very pleased that i did!

Beautifully shot in black and white, with long deep shadows undercutting the sad dark themes of the film. Music that has a circus horror theme to its works great with de melancholic story, although it was a bit overbearing in…

  • Stalker

To Be honest, I didn’t really understand this movie… But there is something about it which made it an mesmerizing watch. Hopefully I grasp the meaning on a second watch. Although It probably will be a while before I watch Stalker again. This movie needs to sit with you, I will give it some time. It almost unfair to give it a rating at this point (but I do love to rate stuff so).

Besides the whole point of the…

    The Princess Bride

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this movie at all. I expected to really enjoy this movie, many people hold this up so high, it must be great right?

Not sure why I never saw it before, I suspect it might have been the title that threw me off.The movie was filled with silly humor which didn’t work for me at all. Although I did found the priest funny at the wedding scene, the only scene I actually enjoyed.

    I found…

  • The Silence

    The Silence

This is a perfect example of a boring bad film. I knew going in that this was going to be terrible , but I hoped it was going to be a hilarious experience just as Wish Upon knowing it was from the same director. But unfortunately, it was just boring.

The acting was almost unwatchable. Cinematography was flat and grey, I have no idea what they were going for, it looked so bland. And then the creatures…oh my. It felt…

  • The Devils

    The Devils

Its always great to discover something that existed for ages and you never knew about but you absolutely love! That’s what happened to me and this film. Got it recommended by a friend, but it took a while before I watched it.. So glad I did.

A film so atmospheric, paranoid and chaotic about religious mass hysteria. Set in medieval times but turns out to be such a timeless story. Beautifully shot in amazing technicolor. The stunning chaos that unfolds…

  • Aquaman

Absolute garbage. I had no idea what was going on. Everybody was acting with a straight face in this hilarious CGI vomit circus of a movie. Which made the whole thing super funny. Dialogue was so bad I think it might have been intentional, just to fuck with us. The two leads had no chemistry whatsoever. Every time the film cuts to the two leads I was bored out of my mind, they where so uninteresting and the worst part…

  • Overlord

Not very strong, but fun either way. I enjoyed its relentless action attitude. With some good performances, its a pretty nice watch. But not very memorable. I did enjoy the the genre-switch in the middle of the movie, I knew it was going to happen, but still felt like a surprise. A good old fun action horror flick.
