I deserve Lucas Hedges’ career.

A story weaved so tightly around conflict and characters that it doesn’t even appear to be there at all. Kelly Reichardt is one of the greatest living American filmmakers.

Watched this for a short analysis in class and this was truly terrible. Mean spirited and says nothing worth contributing to the topic of race other than... racism bad. But then again it doesn’t even really say that it that well- it’s just using racism as an edge factor.

My favorite thing ever made :,)

Had to break in my new apartment with what I think might be my ultimate comfort film. I feel held by it.

It’s beautifully made?
Amazing cinematography and production design.
BUT, the plot and message is incomprehensible. The heavy use of flashbacks is ridiculous. Every time I got interested in the film (and thought it was building momentum), it ripped it out of my hands and either brought it back to the boring present or to a flashback.

Some scenes were great, but mannnnnn. I am disappointed.
