    Our Little Sister

    ★★★★★

I’m going to keep this review short because I honestly cannot believe how good this made me feel.

Our Little Sister is a story that revolves around three sisters who live in their grandmother’s home, as they welcome in their thirteen-year-old half sister when their father passes.

I laughed. I cried. I smiled more times than I can count and I just feel so happy. I could have watched this for hours longer and still loved it.

    It’s such a simple story…

    Zombie Holocaust

    ★★

I was wanting to check out a cool zombie flick that I hadn’t seen before and decided on this one. Boy was that a mistake.

After a string of organ disappearances at a New York hospital, an expedition decides to investigate in the East Indies, where they come across native cannibals and an evil scientist with an army of zombies.

Zombie Holocaust has some pretty gnarly practical effects, with especially the scenes of cannibalism that were both brutal and horrifying.…

    30 Days of Night

I remember this being one of the scariest movies when I was younger, and I think it holds up pretty well in that regard.

30 Days of Night takes place in a small Alaskan town that experiences a solid month of darkness. This town eventually gets attacked by vampires, who take advantage of the continuous days without sunlight, and the survivors have to try and find a way to make it through the month.

It has such an original premise,…

I wanted something light this morning so I thought what could go wrong with a fun little animated family film?

    Well apparently a lot.

Inside Out features 5 emotions, Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader) and Anger (Lewis Black) as they try and navigate the feelings of 11-year-old Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) after her life is uprooted from a small midwestern town to San Francisco.

The animation of Inside Out is gorgeous, with its vibrant…

    Don't Look Up

    ★★★

After hearing about the phenomenal star-studded cast, I was extremely curious about this movie. My mother also loved end-of-the-world disaster movies and so I didn’t have to persuade her very much to watch it with me.

    So let’s talk about it.

Don’t Look Up follows astronomers Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), after they discover a catastrophic comet headed towards earth, and their attempts to bring attention to it through all the politics of the American…
