THIS FLICK HAS HEART.
Like damn, a ton of it. It resonated with me a lot more since my last viewing (which, granted, was likely when I was around 10 or 11). It takes a simple story and simple themes and just HAMMERS them home brilliantly. Family, love, acceptance; all universal things that anyone can get behind. It looks at a different culture with tact and taste, it never comes across as cringy, cliched or offensive. The animation is fluid and I really dug the super vibrant colors and settings. It's funny, has great entertaining action sequences, and above all has a damn good message.
Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. 🥺🥺🥺
