    Portrait of a Lady on Fire reminded me of the first time I fell in love in the most heartbreaking and unforgivable ways. I was transported to a world of pain and fury, rage and love and incandescent fire that scorches the soul.

    Awe-inducing. Overwhelming. Unstoppable. Breathtaking. A magnum opus dedicated to all fortunate and unfortunate loves, to the sound of heart-stopping music.

    Infinitely grateful for walking into the movie theater today and leaving it a different woman.

    In my book, the highest compliment a movie can receive is from my mom, a seasoned actress and cinephile, when she says she hasn't seen anything like it before.

    Marriage Story fits the bill. After months of trying to introduce Noah Baumbach to her, I finally won the battle. Actually, I'd say watching this one together was a 50/50 win for both of us.

    I started watching 2001 at 4:37 pm, GMT -2, BRST.

    I'm currently eating a Butter Toffee, musing over my decision to view this in my room for peace and quiet, considering the living room TV is much bigger. Well, I rather not be interrupted.

    It's my first time ever viewing 2001 from start to finish, and although I believe it doesn't show in my face right now, I'm very excited to finally watch something I should have years ago.
