Corbin Bishop’s review published on Letterboxd:
After a couple viewings I've come to the conclusion that I love this film. Yorgos is just a great and unique filmmaker. He sprinkles his style everywhere.
The set design and costumes are immaculate. So over the top and it fits.
The story is the backbone, and it works. I absolutely love the duel of supremecy between Abagail and Malbury. It's fun but always packed with a lot of tension. Malbury sees INSTANTLY what Abagail is trying to do. And then it's go time.
All the while you have the queen inbetween. Olivia Coleman is a treasure and definitely deserved this Oscar.
Officially going up a half star ⭐
