Every year at least one movie comes out that reminds you why you fell in love with them in the first place. In The Heights is magical, beautiful, colorful, and absolutely wonderful in every way. Every song is so wonderfully composed, every performance is on point. The lights and sounds take you to a magical place and don't let go. This movie is the final confirmation, the movies are back, and they're better than ever.

This movie is actually brilliant despite all odds. It's supposed to be a cynical product of the studio system, and yet it takes on every roadblock. A sequel to a mediocre movie that only had a stellar cast and a messy tone going for it, but this movie is genius. It's a Saturday morning cartoon come to life on the big screen and yet at the same time it's a deconstruction of it. Taking on the mythos of scooby-doo and…

Wow! I was so seriously impressed by this one in ways I wasn't expecting. This one is a real indie filmmaker's indie movie. I can appreciate the pure soul and passion put on the screen in a big way. The comedy was absolutely on point, I was laughing so much through out. The action scenes were surprisingly well-choreographed, like amazingly so. But more importantly, this movie had so much more heart than I was expecting. Alain Uy as Danny gave…

Yeah that straight up felt like they knew they had to make 2 more so make some sort of half-step for the 2nd movie. The story feels flat out incomplete and when the movie ended I was a little confused cause it felt unfinished. Hopefully Halloween Ends is a more complete piece.

Otherwise though? I had a blast, the kills were gnarly and the acting was all on point. My only disappointment in that field is the laughs present in Halloween 2018 felt absent here. It's most certainly worth your time, just don't feel like you'll get a finished movie.

Bad news everyone, I have more terrible opinions that probably highly reflect my inherent flaws as a human being!

Yeah suffice to say I loved this, and really I didn't think I would. I was really starting to think the inherent flaws with the storytelling people were saying were gonna get to me. I actually went into this movie expecting to be critical, which I *never* do. I try to go into every movie trying to *like* it as much…

Yes, I know. 5 Stars seems absurd, especially for a movie that has an admittedly nothing-ness of a villain, and yet I loved it so, so so so so much. I think this is everything I've ever wanted in a Bond movie, and it ends on such a perfect note that I sincerely hope they give it a fucking minute before rebooting the franchise again. Craig is perfect as Bond, he always has been, but last movie it felt like…
