  • Tenet

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Tenet is an exceptional espionage film that bends the rules of time and displaces any room for predictably. Being my 2nd viewing, I was much more engaged and watched with a new set of eyes that helped me uncover the confounding details of the film. I don’t want to make this review a summary, rather, a sincere appreciation and deconstruction of Christopher Nolan’s 11th feature length film. Also, if you have not seen this film, I…

    Wild Strawberries

Wild Strawberries is one of the best films I have seen this year (2020). The dialogue is delicately moving and I can’t help but feel nostalgic about the story. There are various moments throughout the film that I deeply connected with on a personal level. There is a specific shot that stays in my memory, when Isak is walking towards Sara’s and Sigfrid’s home. We get a closeup shot of Isak’s face as he walks beneath the trees. The trees behind are blurred out, but he has a distinct look of loneliness. I know this film will stay on my mind for some time.

Her character’s evasive passion perfectly parallels Karen’s candescent demeanor. Though Martha strays from revealing her true feelings, her expression in anger is what subtlety veils her romantic intentions. I couldn’t help but relate to Martha in some ways.…

    Dances with Wolves

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

For being a 3 hour film, this did NOT feel long at all. It was extremely engaging from beginning to end.

I want to start by stating that I am VERY glad this was not another Civil War film that focuses on Union and Confederate soldiers. If anything, this film shows the beauty of Native American culture, as well as, the horrors during The Trail of Tears.

John Dunbar’s spiritual shedding into Dances with Wolves was brilliantly outlined through…
