Claire Richards’s review published on Letterboxd:
For this review, enjoy my direct comparison of songs from the 1975 movie and songs from the Glee episode, The Rocky Horror Glee Show.
1. Science Fiction/Double Feature
I mean, there's not much to compare, it's just lips on a black screen, but I'm giving this one to the original.
2. Over at the Frankenstein Place
The Glee version of this is TERRIBLE. Susan Sarandon is the clear winner.
3. Dammit Janet
The Glee version is perfectly good. But Dammit Janet is an iconic opening song, so this one goes to the movie.
4. Hot Patootie
John Stamos clearly wins over Meatloaf. Like, no comparison.
5. Sweet Transvestite
Mercedes was great. But, um, Tim Curry's performance is easily the best part of the whole movie. I feel uncomfortable even trying to make this comparison.
6. Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me
This one is interesting! This is one of those Glee moments where the song fits perfectly into the plot and character development of the show. Emma and Will have a good scene together, and Santana and Brittany are great on backup.
7. Time Warp
Glee wins! Fight me!!! I simply prefer how Kurt and Quinn sing it!
