Chris Simons’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watching this and Mean Streets gives me a new perspective on Scorsese AND Harvey Keitel. Scorsese's early movies were surprisingly colorful and full of rich and complex chatacters. Keitel was a no boundries actor who gave his all in his early career. Prior to watching these early Scorsese features, I'd only seen him as this cool older dude in Reservoir Dogs and other movies after that. Also, Burstyn is amazing. I am pleased.
