New short film:
My first Almodovar!
You know, I think I'm a fan of these semi-autobiographical types of films. Jodorowsky's The Dance of Reality and Fellini's 8 1/2 work brilliantly as introspective looks into the minds of their respective directors. Pain and Glory absolutely belongs in the same league.
This is a story straight from the heart of Almodovar, and I couldn't help but get swept away in it. Also the ending made me audibly gasp.
Well this is gonna be a weird review to write....
Full disclosure, this movie is based on my dad.
He’s one of the guys that’s been playing tag for 30 years. Because of this I was able to go to the world premiere tonight, which was insane (I met Eric Andre and nearly cried). Suffice it to say, I never thought my dad playing tag would lead to something this big.
