I can't believe Thanos just ate Captain America.

Like damn. They really went for it.

Picked him up and just chomped down.

Like a goddamn carrot.

Crazy stuff.

So um yeah this was pretty good. Honestly if Thanos HAD eaten Captain America I probably would've liked it more, but still, I'll take what I can get.

Thanos is definitely the best part of this movie. The story actually focused around him and proved that he's been worth the wait. The final shot really sealed it for me that I love him. I mean I still want him to die and all that, but he's compelling and scary and you don't get that too often with MCU villains. Very excited to see where part two takes him.

Aside from that, I love Thor now. He went from being the most boring Avenger to my favorite. Maybe its just the new haircut, but who cares. I love my pirate angel god Chris Hemsworth.

The Iron Man/Spider-Man/Doctor Strange combo was super engaging too. I mean it was basically just two sarcastic assholes trying to outwit each other plus a kid but hey it worked. The Squidward joke was just lovely.

The pacing was also surprisingly good. It all flowed nicely and I was never bored. To be honest I was never super engaged or thrilled either, but a nice constant "oh that's cool" feeling is better than nothing.

Really the only things I'm angry about are stupid repetitive storytelling devices like the "tell me or *insert loved one* dies" thing which was used like 30 times and plot holes involving the Wakanda battle (that gate shenanigans was wacky as fuck). Also mini boss Thanos villains were boring and felt like a waste of time (I did like a few of Squidward's scenes though).

Also Quill and Gamora made some dumb choices that possibly may have killed half the universe (I'll indulge you this once Marvel, don't get cocky. I've seen your upcoming slate...)

But yeah no other major gripes. Do wish I knew if Korg was alive though.

Ummm let's see what else was fun.....Gamora had a cool arc. That Red Skull comeback was amazing. Visually it was nice, much better looking than Civil War. Also I didn't know I needed a giant Peter Dinklage in my life before this movie but I definitely did.

So yeah, it was good. Nothing more really. Its definitely a part one. Let's hope at least some major casualties happen in this next one. I don't believe for a second that half the population is gone forever, but I am very excited for part two.

In the end, I'm just happy my prayers for them to abandon ship and jump to the Tobey Maguire-inhabited Marvel dimension just got a little more likely.
