This is basically a much better version of what I think roughly a quarter of what Suburbicon was going for.
It's got splashes of the Coens, Sam Raimi and John Waters, just on a budget. Jeffrey Donovan is a hoot, and Kyra Sedgwick is so effectively weird in this, I'm still surprised she signed on.
It's weird to see Bill Skarsgård in a not Pennywise role, but he and Maika Monroe are real good here, too.
The only gripe I have is I think the film could've afforded to be a bit stranger and could've stretched out its thesis a bit more, but it's absolutely a good time.
