wish i could write something that could translate all the feelings this brought me, the amount of care this movie was approached with, but i don't think it would do it justice. when possible PLEASE watch this piece of queer cinema 💔
Gratuitous violence fails to establish anything concrete.
In its entire runtime (2h18min to be more specific) we are not provided enough reasons that makes the characters' behaviors and traits digestible. All of them are violent and got questionable morals, in a dynamic that alternates between an attempt to conceptualize violence to a pure and unnecessary sadism. The film doesn’t seem to be progressing, just going in circles of the supposed "theme" established by Campos. There is not an ounce of…
