Societies are funny things. They consist off a thousand tiny rules: what to say, what not to say, how to behave and most important when to behave in a certain way. When everybody follows these rules everything should be fine and you as a participant of this society know what to expect. And pranks can have a fascinating effect: they ignore this rules for while and people just do not know what hits them.
Bad Trip is full of these…

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Damn, I enjoyed this a lot more the second time around.
Is it still a convoluted mess of storytelling and is the final battle still a weird CGI-massacre mainly here to set up Justice League? Yes, yes of course it is?

Me: Mr. Eggers your movie is pure madness!

Robert Egger: Damn ye son! Damn ye soul! The seal shall swallow you whole. I call ye mighty Triton! Be me rescue from this lying dog! Take him under the see, let ye lad be drowned by ye salty waves! Let ye wrath drag the lad upon the darkest depth of ye watery hell! Until there is nothing left of ye lad! Until he is only the sea!

Me: Fine, have it your way.

I miss this Tim Burton so much. Charming, spooky and lovable film making that is a class of entertainment of its own. Depp is such a lovable dork and the spooky dark humor of Burton fits the style of this old creepy pasta amazingly. Mixed with a little bit of commentary on science and myth just makes a hugely lovable film.
This is a perfect example of the story, the director and the cast fitting together perfectly.
