The third instalment of the Ice Age movies, is another fun one. We see Ellie and Manfred having a baby, as well as Sid wanting too have a responsibility and have children too look after, he find 3 eggs that soon crack and the Dinosaur’s mum is looking to find them, once she does Sid is unwilling to give them up and so he is taken along with the baby Dinosaurs. The plot of the movie is seeing Ellie, Manfred, Diego, Eddie and Crash and they go on this wild dangerous journey to search for Sid. On this journey they meet up with a new character called Buck, voiced over brilliantly by the hilarious Simon Pegg. There is a lot of funny fun moments and lots of references that parents can relate too, and some new trends at the time like vegan diets. There is also the side story as we see Diego is starting too loose his touch of a typical wild Tiger as he is becoming used to being apart of the family. Sid is eventually brought into the family with the dinosaurs, which is nice too see. We see a lot more with Scratch and Schratchette in this movie too, which I don’t really care for but might be more satisfying for some people, his story’s are always fun and whacky.
Overall I’d rate this 3/5 ⭐️ there’s some nice stories about friendship and working
together, it is better than the first but worse than the second in my opinion. I feel like for me to here is going to be a struggle for more new ideas for the 4th and 5th instalment, which I intend to watch as some point. I particularly enjoyed the scene within the poisonous plant, with the voice, changes it was probably the most entertaining moment.
