Some random thoughts from first viewing:
The good
• Tom Hardy worked brilliantly with the material he was given
• Venom was badass and gave some well needed comic relief
• Michelle Williams is hot af
The bad
• (in my opinion) a poorly chosen soundtrack that felt very out of tune with the film
• a mediocre score
•TERRIBLY outdated sound effects like ?? Marvel pls
• the whole plot felt very formulaic and stereotypical at times
• the final ‘fight’ was very strung out of nowhere and kinda forced
• lack of hardy-Williams action i mean CMON
• however that being said, Eddie and Anne’s relationship felt very one-dimensional and lacked any real depth
• lack of empathy and investment into any other character other than Hardy’s just left me feeling underwhelmed and unmoved by the films ending
