Dune is definitely a spectacle, and a sight to behold, but is it anything more than that?

This movie is categorically a ‘Part One’ and in a lot of ways, fails to tell a satisfying story - this is the main disappointment for me.

A New Hope and Fellowship of the Ring are two movies built on a similar scale to this, and are the first instalments of epic sagas - just like this - but unlike Dune they both…

    Space Jam: A New Legacy

The first half of this movie was incredibly terrible, I did not see the second half because the cinema was evacuated.

About halfway through the movie, the screen went black and a voice declared over the intercom that "an incident had occurred meaning the building must be evacuated". Some really annoying sirens started going off and fearing the mysteriously-alluded-to-incident, I left that cinema fast. I was in a dodgy town, so I feared a stabbing had occured.

    So I and…

CHronicle is unlike any other superhero movie and is probably the purest subversion of the superhero genre that I've ever seen. Because at its core, Chronicle doesn't use heroism and superpowers as a genre, but as a plot device.

Other 'superhero' movies that are told from the villain's perspective do not keep to the traditional formula of a superhero movie, and for them, that works. Venom tries to tell somewhat of a redemption story, and a story of an anti-hero…

If you don’t like this movie, then I simply just don’t trust you. It’s pure, heartfelt escapism to the music of ABBA. Who doesn’t like ABBA?! What’s wrong with you!?!?

Of course the songs are amazing, the 3 dads are all equally great and sweet, and just every character does a good job. Pierce Brosnan’s singing was even better than I remembered!

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

So much of this movie doesn’t work for me. Every element of it seems off or just downright bad, and even the combination of these elements just don’t gel.

The opening is also the most interesting part of the movie, but it still leaves me bitter because I would have just wanted the entire movie to be that.

It’s got some pretty bad fridging, awful dialogue, bad CGI when practical effects would have been easier, and the Sabertooth/Wolverine relationship this entire movie is built around just doesn’t work.

I’m not going to mention Deadpool.
