    Ashes of Time

I’m so tired this was just soooo slow paced but as always there’s a stand out maggie cheung scene that holds the movie together so yay

  • Days of Being Wild

    Days of Being Wild

this was a strange one. At first I felt like how I felt watching as tears go by where I could see where it could’ve been better but it wasn’t. But then something changed. The characters kept getting developed and more sketched out and I began to more fully understand the movies themes. The feeling of loneliness and missed connections, the thought of just one person being the one, regret… I can see why this is seen as the beginning of wong kar wai’s great films. I wholly enjoyed it and can’t wait to watch the alternate version.

    As Tears Go By

this was very interesting. everything involving maggie cheung was excellent as expected. but the mob subplot is all over the place. it’s Iike charmingly messy in a way though since I know wong kar-wai perfects literally everything he does in this movie later but wow. what a debut. the last half star is for the take my breath away scene though. now that’s cinema

  • Bad Trip

    Bad Trip

barely a full movie but it’s insanely entertaining regardless. the credits were kind of my favorite part since it felt like a good payoff but wow

  • Concrete Cowboy

    Concrete Cowboy

Pretty good movie. The script and structure is definitely a little wobbly but it’s enjoyable regardless. Caleb and Idris are excellent here btw.

  • Godzilla

this was enjoyable even if i was a bit lost sometimes. The cast kept me engaged since I liked them all already so hey. sidenote: i would definitely stan godzilla if I lived in the world of this movie. He’s too iconic i fear

  • Cold War

    Cold War

Extremely entertaining and well paced. The last scene is particularly astounding. Beautiful movie

  • Shivers

Very upsetting and appalling. I’m shocked that this was made. I don’t think it should have been. Just all around not very good in my opinion even considering how neat the idea must’ve sounded in the director’s head. Hoping this resembles nothing else cronenburg has made or im not getting into his filmography. Loved crash though
