I’m a sucker for these kind of high-concept dystopian scify-esque flicks, and I can sometimes tolerate a heavy-handed message (like it even on occasion). But when the logic of a movie — especially when talking about high-concept scify — must fall apart to enable driving the message home, there is just something inherently wrong with the movie’s structure.
