I knew this was a documentary beforehand but completely forgot while watching. The arrival of the loud nomadic family feels like a legitimate plot twist and makes this feel less genuine, but at the same time more captivating and interesting as it follows almost legitimate plot line. You cant help but feel bad for everyone involved but there is something so embarrasing, and this is probably more enhanced in my experience because I too am from a Balkan country, but…

For any hip hop connoisseur this is a must watch. Even with a confusing and disconnected plot it manages to get the point across, and the style and colors and the superstar screen presence is so mesmerazing it more than makes up for it. DMX is such a legend, R.I.P. to one of the greatest to ever do it

Spoilers ahead, when they announced Mahershala's character had died off screen, I was down feeling some type of way for like the next 45 minutes. Juan really stole the show and killing him off like that really left me wanting something more for the rest of the movie. That was the only part that correlated with me, I thought Chiron's character was kinda lacking. Someone said they can really imagine Juan, Teresa and the rest having a life off screen, but Chiron really felt just like a character in a movie, and that is spot on for me. Really pretty movie tho
