Zola is a wonderful film that feels like nothing else. It could only have come out of Twitter!
The visuals, the sounds, the editing, the direction, everything works so well in this crazy movie! And of course, the lead actresses are absolutely superb! They do a great job in bringing to life such captivating characters. The humor and the tension are also present in a balanced form most of the time, which is great. But of course, the main attraction here is the story itself, which is one of the most fascinating narratives one could dream of transforming into a movie. And it's so well done! The text feels like tweets, the sound effects help, but it's mostly the incredible script that deserves as much credit as the Twitter thread that began everything back in the day!
