The Descent is one of those movies I never got around to seeing. It’s a movie I was too young to watch at the time and one I always shoved to the side. Finally in the year 2021 I got around to watching it. Overall, I was very impressed. It begins as a cave expedition that quickly goes wrong for these women. I loved the tension that seemed to be building inside the cave as the movie progressed. I can’t remember how the movie was advertised back when it came out, but I obviously became very well aware of what was in that cave so kept waiting for that moment to happen. Once it does the movie gets crazy and doesn’t let up. I had a lot of fun with this one and regret not seeing it sooner. I’d love a proper sequel or maybe even a remake to this.
