This is a movie with an extremely interesting premise. While I was enjoying it a lot more than I anticipated to, by the end of the movie I was unfortunately let down as it felt anticlimactic. You also don’t get to see much of “the ruins” doing the killing like you would think. I remember seeing the trailer way back when it came out thinking just about every death would be due to “the ruins”. While enjoyable and much better acted than you would expect from a movie like this, the movie unfortunately falls flat by the end. I also wasn’t a fan of the plants mimicking sounds such as that of a cellphone. This is however definitely a fun watch for horror fanatics.
