Beautiful! But couldn't do much else for me– a sung-through musical in a foreign language (without any actual musical "numbers" too) was always gonna be an uphill battle for me, since it feels like there's very little to hang onto and you start to wonder why it's musical at all if it's just singing to nothing in particular. The one musical motif we get through the movie is very nice though!
We also start at such a strange place for Guy & Genevieve's relationship that it doesn't feel lived in enough for me to feel what they're feeling, so it comes across more as an encyclopedic/unfeeling depiction of a lover's tragedy more than an actual tragic love story. I dunno. Can't feel much for any of the characters! Told too many feelings rather than being shown them! I liked the ending, though.
