This film made tears fall from my face. I don’t cry often when watching a movie, but I appreciate when one does and I don’t feel manipulated afterwards.
Thanks to Bob Wells for sharing the most real and touching story I’ve heard in years, and to Chloe Zhao for capturing these real characters in the way she did.
An 83-minute-long diamond commercial posing as high art. This is a prime example of why films need at least a little intent behind them, otherwise you get pretentious nonsense.
Also, don't watch it on a plane/in a public setting, because in the first three minutes, there's a big erect dick on the screen (Why? A Bergman never tells). Fun!
