Devon’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was gonna complaint that it felt really long but turns out I watched the extended cut. I’m gonna give it the benefit of the doubt, it’s a much more well made movie than T1 and the length was one of my biggest issues, but I’m positive that I’ll like the theatrical version more. As of now though it’s pretty equal to the first one on an enjoyment level, but like I said I’m sure I’ll prefer the normal version of T2 more. It looked so much better in many ways, VFX was a huge factor there. The kid was a bit inconsistent with the acting but there was a bit less cheesiness than the first one, and the other performances like the Dyson family. The score was disappointing compared to the first, and I really am not the biggest fan of having everything Sarah Connor is crazy. The better filmmaking, quality, and action makes me slightly prefer this to the first, but it definitely has it’s issues.
Edit- F*** it, I prefer the original Terminator. Fight me.
